The Power Of Helping

Helping - it benefits more than the person you are serving.

All of us have a different purpose in life - but one common purpose is to help others.

I’d love to hear from you especially if you have some creative ways to help others.

Hi Phil
Enjoyed this post. I have spent many years doing all types of voluntary roles when I am not in paid employment. It's not always about the money. I get great satisfaction by waking up in the morning knowing that I have a purpose and can fulfill it, by helping those who are unable to help themselves.

You can help your elderly neighbours by asking if they require you to collect any shopping when you go out to do your own shopping.

You can help your family or friends to complete complicated application forms that they are unable to understand.

You can assist people by driving them to and from hospital appointments or by just accompanying them.

You can offer to wash up their dishes or do some cleaning to help them out, or even babysit to give your friends a break from a busy schedule.

You can offer a blanket or duvet as a gift to someone who needs it during the harsh winter periods.

You can bring someone a nice cake or food item just to say 'thank you' for being a friend.

So many things, but not enough space to write them all.
