Top Ten Thanksgiving List

Perhaps the big Thanksgiving meal is overrated. Someone said that Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare and they are consumed in twelve minutes!

I have strong doubts that the first Thanksgiving even remotely resembled the 'history' I was told in second grade. But considering that (when it comes to holidays) mainstream America's traditions tend to be over-eating, shopping, or getting drunk, I suppose it's a miracle that the concept of giving thanks even surfaces at all!

Having said that i like Thanksgiving because it focuses our minds on our blessings rather than our problems, and as you have figured out by now, i have some  issues  :)

So....here are the top ten things i’m thankful for this year!

1.  My wife and son.
2.  I still have a place to live, even though things are difficult $ wise.
3.  I’m thankful for my job, (which is why i have number 2).
4.  I’m thankful i have kept blogging and have met new friends here, (and on Facebook)!
5.  I’m thankful i don’t have to fly and sit next to boneheads on the planes.
6.  Coffee, ---yeah you knew i’d say that, right?
7.  Friends, and i don’t mean just acquaintances, a mean the real ones! (see the last blog entry)
8.  Beer, hey i don’t drink that much of it, so chill out!
9.  Music, all kinds, well except rap.
10. My health, it’s pretty good and yes i still run barefoot.

So tell me something you’re thankful for this season!
