People who don't go to church sometimes think Christians are strange. Below are some examples I have stolen from Timmy Gibson's blog. It cracked me up!
Jesus spent lots of time with unbelievers ---so should we. Jesus went to the lost--five incredibly important words--and hung out with them for the purpose of love-driven message. Here's what Mark 2:15-17 tells us about Christ and His example:
While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the "sinners" and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
I'd encourage you to get to know people, those who believe, those who don’t believe, those who refuse to believe and those who don’t know what to believe. The honest truth for Mary K and I is that we truly love people … all people; we just don’t have partiality when it comes down to it. We love our Christian friends, we love our atheist friends, we love our gay friends, we try a just love people the best we can.
Do you have any non-Christian friends?
