I have been thinking about my father today. He passed away on this date back in 1982. I still miss him very much. I’m not sure what he would think about my life if he was alive today. I have passed up “successful careers” in order to be involved in ministry. I’m sure he would enjoy our 9 year old boy, who was named after him. I made decisions for my life based on my values, not my father’s. I can honestly say i am very happy and fulfilled. What about you? Have you discovered your life purpose?
There is More Most of us have a sense that there is a better, more meaningful way to live our lives, but we can't seem to find it by ourselves. We carry on doing what is required of us, but still this nagging sense that "there must be something more" returns. This search for a greater sense of their life's purpose underlies questions such as:
How can my career or work be more fulfilling?
How can I find more meaning in my life?
How can I find what will make me feel I am living the life I am meant to?
Know Your Values Here is a simple yet powerful truth. A more fulfilling life is simply a life where you more fully honor your values. In other words, a life that is more in line with what is most important to you. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it. It doesn’t matter how long you live, but how you live.
Everything changed for me in 1976. I became a follower of Jesus Christ. My value system changed. Shortly after that i felt a calling to be involved in ministry. Here’s what I encourage people to do. One word—connect!
Connect ---with God and with other people. God designed you to have relationship with him and others. You have spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences that uniquely shape you for your mission. Take an inventory of your life and think it through: What mission do you see God has prepared you for?
Make your Life Count – Invest your time and money into helping others. It’s an investment that will last for eternity. There is simply nothing more significant you can do with your life. Nothing else you do in life will ever equal helping others in their search for God’s kingdom.
What about you? Have you discovered your life purpose?

so hey...not sure if I know anything really about you...but I do know that what you are saying/teaching is making a difference and that you should be encouraged today. Even just your last thought on this post about investing in people...yup, pretty much the only "thing" of value. You are spot on. Thank you for that. -Kristiapplesauce
