You Look Marvelous!

When I was in high school, I had a major crush on a certain girl, but because I thought I wasn’t good enough, I never asked her out. One time at a party during the summer after graduation, I decided to kiss her, (with the help of some liquid courage), and she actually enjoyed it. That was a wow moment for me!

We all have our own view on what is and isn't good enough. I think that many of us often put ourselves in the category “not good enough.” --Not fit enough, not funny enough or not beautiful enough.

Imagine how much love there would be out there if we transformed the judgment and hatred towards ourselves to self-love and compassion. We love our friends and family – and they are unique. Why can't we just look at our self and think; Wow!

In the words of Fernando Lamas, “You look marvelous.” You are marvelous and you are unique! We often forget that we are all unique and that we are all here for different reasons.

God made you unique and unrepeatable. No one is just like you, and no one can ever repeat your life. That's what makes you unique! Embrace it! When you do it brings purpose to your life.

So many people wish they were someone else. Start loving yourself and stop trying to be someone else. Simply do your best to be you. As long as you're doing the best you can – it's good enough. In fact, it's awesome.

You may not think the world needs you but it does. For you are unique: like no one that has ever been before or will come after. No one can speak with your voice, say your piece, smile your smile, or shine your light. No one can take your place, for it is yours alone to fill.  Wow!
